Why didn't I receive a day-specific collectible reward?

Day-specific collectibles are awarded globally only after the date has started in all time zones, so users in earlier regions may experience a delay of up to 24 hours.

Some CtrlMovie interactive films offer special digital image rewards on specific calendar days — such as an actor’s birthday or a film’s anniversary. These day-specific rewards are automatically added to your collection inside the CtrlMovie app.

If you’re missing such a reward, here’s what you should know:

  • Open the CtrlMovie app
    Launch the CtrlMovie app on your iPhone or Android device. If you’ve previously uninstalled it, reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play.

  • Check the collectibles screen
    The collectibles are shown directly on the main screen of the app. Scroll through to see if the day-specific reward has already been added.

  • Understand the timing of day-specific rewards
    These special rewards are tied to a specific calendar date and are only distributed once that date has started in all global time zones.

  • Wait for global availability
    Because CtrlMovie does not use fine-grained location data, rewards are issued according to a global schedule. If you're in an early time zone like Japan or Australia, you may need to wait until the date also arrives in later zones like Hawaii — which can take up to 24 hours.

  • Try again the next day
    If you don't see your reward yet, it's likely still in the global release window. Check your app again the following day.

Please note: Day-specific rewards are released globally once the date has arrived in all time zones. Since CtrlMovie does not track users' exact locations, these rewards are not tied to your local time.
