If you’ve accidentally created a second CtrlMovie account, please note that accounts cannot be merged—make sure to sign in using your original method to access your data.
If you've accidentally created a second CtrlMovie account by signing in with a different method (e.g., using Google instead of your original email), it may seem like your data has disappeared. But don’t worry—your data is still safe, it's just tied to your original account.
Here's what you need to know and do:
-
Understand why this happens
If you log out or get logged out of the app and then sign back in with a different method (email, Apple, or Google), the app will create a new, empty account. -
Recognize the signs
If your account suddenly has no achievements, saved progress, or collectibles, it likely means you're signed in to a different (new) account. -
Try signing in with a different method
Tap the account icon in the top right corner of the main screen, sign out, and try signing back in using the method you originally used (email, Apple, or Google). -
Check your email history
If you're not sure which email you used, search your inboxes for past messages from CtrlMovie which may help you identify the correct account. -
Decide which account to keep
Unfortunately, it's not currently possible to merge two CtrlMovie accounts. You’ll need to decide which account you want to continue using in the future. -
Abandon the unused account
Once you’ve decided which account to keep, stick with the same login method going forward to ensure your progress and rewards stay in one place.
Please note: Merging two accounts is not possible at this time. Always use the same sign-in method to avoid losing access to your original data.
